Wargames Rules for the Age of Piracy and Adventure
On the Seven Seas
is a set of wargames rules covering the
high adventure and low morals of the world of the pirate. The
rules cover licensed privateers such as da Gama and Drake,
ruthless pirates of the Spanish Main, Blackbeard, the Barbary
corsairs, the wako of the Far East, not to mention the anti-pirate
squadrons, Spanish garrisons and native warriors from around
the world that found themselves at odds with generations of sea-
borne reavers.
Wargames Rules for the Age of Piracy and Adventure
The focus of the game
is on boarding actions
and the exploits of
pirate crews on land,
and the rules offer a
quick-to-learn basic
game based around
individual characters
and small units of rank-
and-file. Most games
only need 15 figures
per side, although
larger games are
possible, and tribal
forces especially will
consist of more models.

OTSS05 - 18th Century Sailors
10
figures of 18th Century sailors. As Pirate, Navy and Merchant sailors
in this period realistically looked very similar, this set can be bought by all
players to increase their factions when playing '
On The Seven Seas
'.

The game is
‘On the Seven Seas’
published by
Osprey
Wargames
, and the figures are a series of box sets by us (
North
Star Military Figures
) designed to give you starter armies (or
Factions) for the game.
What are the box sets about?
Each box set was designed in partnership with Osprey
Publishing to give you a correct Pirate (or Pirate Hunter!) crew to
start playing ‘
On The Seven Seas’
. We’ve chosen two infamous
crews,
Blackbeard
and
Calico Jack
, and one we call
Captain
Hood’s
crew, filled with familiar faces! The fourth Crew is a set of
Royal Navy pirate hunters, led by the famous Captain Maynard
who took down Blackbeard. As the game can be played with
‘Factions’ of up to
16
figures, the fifth set of figures called 18th
Century Sailors is a group of eight Scurvy Dogs you would find
sailing the ships of Pirates, Royal Navy and Merchantmen. So
you can add them to any of the other four box sets to build up
your Faction.
Who’s Lichfield Tony?
This Pirate figure is a special fictional character we’ve made to add a bit
of extra colour to your On the Seven Seas factions.
.
