PAINTING  FROSTGRAVE  ENCHANTERS
“Enchanters are hands-on wizards who work their magic  by investing it in objects or people. Many Enchanters are  also craftsmen, such as carpenters or sculptors, who  apply magic to the items they create. In appearance,  Enchanters are often the least ‘wizardly’ looking of all  wizards, being just as likely to carry craftsman’s tools as  they are weapons or magic items.”  To save repeating myself if you refer to first article in this  series  for details on PREPARATION, CLEANING,  UNDERCOATING, THE PAINT & PAINTING and a lot of  the other stuff!  He was first of the Wizards I did for FROSTGRAVE, and  it still one of favourites. We were fortunate to have Mark  Copplestone (Copplestone Castings) to sculpt him and  what a joy he is, and Mark did a superb Apprentice to go  with him. For me Mark pitches it just right on these small  models between scale, pose, anatomy and detail, making  them easy to paint and great to look at. Below are the  paints I used in, more or less, the order I used them.
THE  ENCHANTER EYES 1. His whites are AP-WP1102 - Matt White 2. The irises are AP-WP1124 - Oak Brown with a tiny bit of AP-WP1101 - Matt Black.
