polyurethane gloss varnish and set aside for 24 hours todry completely. Be careful not to let the varnish pool,especially between legs. You don’t need a very thick coatof varnish. MattThen they were given two coats of Anti-Shine MattVarnish. Be even more careful when painting on the mattvarnish. When applying the matt, brush it out well fromany nooks and crannies where it is likely to collect andpool. BASING The bases are 25mm round plastic skirmish bases fromRenedra. I used superglue to stick the models in place,blowing over them with a cold hairdryer to prevent theglue whitening off onto the models. When positioning themodels I made sure the model looked right on the base. I them filled in-between the models bases with householdfiller and then left that overnight to go hard. I then gluedon some horticultural sand with PVA glue.When the sand was dried hard I painted the whole basewith 1.AP-WP1123 - Leather Brown2.I then dry-brushed on AP-WP1121 - Desert Yellow quite heavily3.Then I dry-brushed on a layer of AP-WP1125 - Skeleton Bone4.And finally a light dry-brush of AP-WP1102 - Matt WhiteFLORAI then added some flora, tufts of The Army Painter -Battlefields AP-BF4127 - Swamp Tufts and AP-BF4129 -Jungle Tufts secured in place with superglue.
