Christoph Hold. Peregrine Med-Techs. The vibrant orange contrasts nicely against the pale skin, using a
pale blue light effect nicely adding another level of interest and contrast.
David Bagdan. Omnipotent Automatons. Good choices of colours to differentiate between ranged and close
combat models, and extra details such as barcodes add further interest.
Christopher Chetwood. Pit Slave Crew. Two units painted! The vibrant blue of the first unit contrast nicely with
the dirty overall look of the unit.
Christopher Chetwood. Medi Death Crew. The second unit has good contrast with the smooth pale
clothing/armour and the darker skin tones. Good use of bright spot colours across the units.
Colin Woods. Rogue Automatons. The skin is nicely done and looks suitable rotten/dead by using green and
greys. Nice lava effect bases.
David Culham. Jerrycan Droids. Well executed, subtle scheme, the use of orange to contrast with overall
muted colours and great use of sprues and water effect on the bases. A polished, competition-grade entry.
Simon Fairweather. Flybotz. Clever conversions that stay true to the Automaton aesthetic, Well painted using
bright colours to emphasise the craziness of the group, Unified basing ties the unique models together
beautifully, Just great fun to look at and will draw attention every time he uses them.
Mark Billen. Inmate Experiment 1138. Well painted bruised/angry skin tones, orange used well to sell convict
idea and good use of food blue as a spot colour across the unit.
Bert Kleyn. Pirate Captain Rodan, second mate Bathany and their Automaton shock troops. A striking
diorama that fuses drama with top-tier modelling and paintwork. Every figure pops in this unruly, unforgettable
crew, each one oozing personality and chaos.
Lewis Price. Thrall Squad. Another top-tier entry that nearly clinched the win. The skin tones are smooth and
lifelike, the metallics rich with depth and weight. What really sets it apart is the sculpting, clever use of
Greenstuff on nearly all the exrtras, done with a steady hand and a pro’s eye for detail. Sharp work all around.
Paul Thomason. Automaton Unit. Good colour choices, the pale greenish flesh pops beautifully against the
grey uniforms. The distressed metalwork adds grit, and those funky alien bases bring real character. Tidy work.
Westley Thompson. The Field Surgeon. Bronze detailing adds contrast, and the camouflage is crisply
applied. The leader conversion is an effective use of a scavenger’s, with bases kept clean and cohesive.
Peter Gray. Rockdrill Prime and the THUNDERCUBE! cyborg gladiator team, ROCKDRILL OMEGA
ROCKDRILL! Uniform armaments give strong unit cohesion, supported by a rich bronze finish that adds depth.
Joshua Gordon. The ship won't let them stay dead. Vivid pink really pops, with sharp details like radiation
symbols and slick bases. These horrors are finished with flair.
Matt Beck. Tozlukay IV Desert World Incursion Force (Five Parsecs from Home). These feel like a
proper combat unit, convincing skin tones, solid military colours, and sharp detailing.
