The Stargrave Scavorc
Painting Competition!
Welcome to the very first North Star Stargrave painting competition held on the Facebook page. The competition HAS ENDED. The final date for entry was 31st of August 2023. To enter in the competition, you need to build a Space Goblinoid using the Stargrave plastic kits (any of them) and the Oathmark Goblin or Orc Infantry kits. You can use modelling materials to convert the figure as much as you like, but you can only use Stargrave and Oathmark plastic parts, no other ranges please. We are using the term Scavorc, but you are not restricted to just using Stargrave Scavengers, another term for the model might be Space Orc or Space Goblin. There will be two prizes. One is for the best build and the other is for the best painted. You could of course end up as the winner of both categories. You can make the Scavorc a single figure or a diorama. To enter, please post a picture on Facebook, of your unpainted model to register your interest. It can be just a photo of the plastic frames ready to go. Please also then add a photo of your built but unpainted model (Can be undercoated). Lastly, add a photo of the painted model before the 31st of August 2023 [Thursday 31st August 2023 @ 23:59GMT] as a reply to your registering post to show you have finished. Please email photos of your built figure and your final entry to northstarfigs@gmail.com. North Star's Kev Dallimore will be the final judge of the winning models. We will post here as soon after the 31st of August to say the winner has been announced. The prizes will be £70.00 vouchers to use with North Star Military Figures Limited. (No cash alternative)
As well as the pictures of the entries being posted here, we
will publish a page of everyone's figures on the North Star
magazine page, with the winner at the top of course.
You do not need to be a UK resident to enter.
You MUST be over the age of 18 or you MUST be able to
provide contact details for a parent or guardian who will give
permission.
Submission Guidelines:
Finished entries must be emailed to
northstarfigs@gmail.com with the following requirements;
The email must include "Scavorc" in the title, followed by
your Facebook username.
Example: Scavorc: Nick Eyre
Send us a photo of both sides of the model, but no more
than 5 photos.
Good, clear photography is expected. Images should be high
quality jpegs if you can.
Images must be taken in Portrait, with a plain White or grey
background.
Photos must be attached to the email, and not compressed
into zip files, linked to other sites, or in any other format.
Failure to adhere to these submission guidelines will void
your entry.
You may only enter once per person.

If you are outside the UK and wish to source the kits in your
region, message us and we'll direct you to a local supplier if
possible.
The Judges decision is final. Please keep all messages
here positive, this is meant to be fun, the admins will have
itchy fingers over that delete button. Note Osprey Games
are not involved with this competition.
